2007 Judges Compensation Commission

The 2007 Judges Compensation Commission has been appointed under the Judicial Compensation Act. The Act provides that a three-member independent commission be appointed every three years to consider and make recommendations on the salaries and benefits of Provincial Court Judges.
The Commission's members are:
- Allan Hope, QC (Chair)
- Israel Chafetz, QC
- Chris Considine, QC
The Commission will receive submissions from government, Provincial Court Judges and other interested parties before making recommendations to the Attorney General and the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court. The Commission's final report is due no later than September 30, 2007. The report will be tabled in the Legislative Assembly.
