What should I do if my former spouse does not obey the court order?
A court order is a legally binding document.
If a court order is not obeyed, it can be enforced by the courts and/or the police in various ways, depending on what type of order it is and other factors.
If your order includes spousal and/or child support, it can be enforced by the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program. Please see our section on the FMEP for more information.
