Parenting After Separation

How can I find out more about Parenting After Separation?

To find out more about Parenting After Separation sessions, talk to a family justice counsellor or take a look at the following publications (in PDF format):

  • A list [PDF] of where Parenting After Separation sessions are offered, along with contact phone numbers for when you are ready to register.

  • Library branches across the province carry a Parenting After Separation Home Study Package. This package was designed for parents who cannot easily get to a Parenting After Separation session and includes the Parenting After Separation handbook and DVD. This package reviews information such as legal options, community resources, impacts of separation on parents/children and options for resolving disputes. You can download and print a full set of the booklet's worksheets [PDF] to use when working through parenting after separation issues.
The Ministry of Attorney General's Dispute Resolution Office has also published an information bulletin on when and where attendance at a Parenting After Separation session is required.
