Ministry of Justice

Does the Ministry of Justice operate a summer program for law students?

Subject to funding, the ministry offers summer employment in both the Legal Services Branch and with Crown Counsel (B.C.’s Prosecution Service).

The ministry’s Legal Services Branch has hired two students for summer 2012 through on campus interviews (OCIs) at the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia. Information about any other positions at Legal Services Branch for 2012 will be available online through the home page of the articled student program website in early January 2012.

B.C.’s Prosecution Service Summer Law Students Program will be hiring eight students for summer 2012. Those positions will be in Vancouver, the Fraser Region, the Northern Region, the South Interior and on Vancouver Island.
