Can I apply for articles even though I plan on clerking?

Yes. The ministry is pleased to receive applications from students who have decided to clerk and are looking for articles for the year following their clerkship or are considering a clerkship and want to defer their articles for a year if a clerkship is offered.

The ministry hires up to two clerks each articling year.
