Self Help
Some documents in this site are in Portable Document Format (PDF). You will need Adobe Reader.
These pages set out some general information about the administrative justice system and how tribunals, which are part of that system, conduct their work. The pages provide a series of frequently asked questions and answers, including links to other websites, plus links to articles and publications that may be helpful.
Note: The information provided here is not intended to be legal advice. While tribunals share strong similarities, there are some significant differences so the information provided is very general.
Readers with an interest in a particular tribunal should always consult that tribunal for specific and up-to-date information. Also, while the goal is to provide general information about the administrative justice system, this information is based on the Dispute Resolution Office’s (DRO) experience with those tribunals established by the Government of British Columbia.
The DRO is always interested in hearing about ideas, suggestions or comments about this Self Help page and about administrative justice generally. The DRO can be contacted at DRO Contact.
