The purpose of this section is to provide easy access to British Columbia's administrative justice legislation, as well as to provide user-friendly information about B.C.'s legislative processes.

Administrative tribunals are established by legislation, with each tribunal governed by its own specific statute, sometimes referred to as the tribunal's enabling legislation. The Administrative Tribunals Act (ATA) also applies to most B.C. tribunals and certain other entities (if adopted by reference in the tribunal's enabling legislation.) The ATA provides standardized powers and procedures for fair, efficient and publicly accountable tribunal processes.
