Ministry of Justice

Administrative Tribunals in British Columbia
as of June 15, 2009

Note

Administrative tribunals determine statutory rights and/or resolve disputes between parties impartially and independently from government. The tribunals that make up BC's administrative justice system provide a valuable alternative to the courts, resolving disputes in a manner that is less formal, more efficient and timely and brings specialized expertise for high quality, impartial decision-making.

The table below identifies those entities that comprise BC's administrative justice system and provides other related information, including their websites, where available. (To view how the ATA applies to other entities, see the table:  Application of the Administrative Tribunal Act (ATA) to “Other” Entities.)
